Jen Caswell

Jen has been an active member of First Parish since 1997 when she and her husband Harold found this worship community in which to raise their two boys, Cam and Cole (now 16 and 14).  Having left her position in Manufacturing Support at Bass Shoe to enjoy a couple years at home with her young boys, she now works in Instructional Support at Cape Elizabeth School District and at the Learning Center for Dyslexic Children.

Jen has volunteered at First Parish in many capacities over the years: in co-op nursery, teaching Sunday school,  served on Religious Education, Social Action, Canvas, and Finance committees, worked as First Parish Treasurer, trained for and taught OWL K-8, served on the Board of Youth and Family Outreach, and previously served on the Governing Board. 

When not at work, volunteering, or supporting 2 active teenagers in their daily pursuits, you would most likely find her enjoying the outdoors: in her vegetable garden, power-walking, cycling, and cross-country skiing, or indoors enjoying the company of family: cooking, reading, and watching movies. 

I am looking forward to this year on the Governing Board not only working with a great group of people to help make decisions for the church community, but to focus on relationship-building, learning more about myself and growing in the process.
